You must have tons of money..... Plus you are making ZERO sense....

Interesting take...I would suggest the exact opposite, that he IS the one in control and no one (divine or living) is going to swoop in and change his life for him. He needs to get aggressive and proactive or nothing will change.
Suggesting that we have no control over our ultimate fate would confirm that God intentionally kills babies with cancer.
In many ways you are probably both right. This whole flying thing and the other medical issues has made me very angry at God. Almost as a "what did I do to deserve this" type of pity party. It's definitely hurt my relationship with God, to the point where I've told to myself that "God can go f*ck himself".
I don't doubt for a second that I need to repair my relationship with God and understand that he's always with me if I allow him into my life. And that yes I need to understand that I only have so much control in life, the rest is up to him.
But I also agree with you that though God is always with us, he gives us a brain so that we control over our lives. My brain is obviously have major issues right now but that if I take control I can resume the life that I want to live. God only said he would be with us during the journey, he never said he would make the journey easy for us.
So I think it can both. You can put your faith in God while still understanding that you need to control your life. In many ways I need to do both.

No I just travel on the cheap. Plus that's why I've been so devastated. I want to be able to travel to a lot of these overseas and exotic places when I do get the money. I will say I have saved over $6,000 for my next overseas trip and yet I don't know if I will ever be able to do it.
I've mostly traveled domestically, to Canada and to the Caribbean. I've been to Europe twice. That's why it hurts me so much, there's so much more traveling I want to be able to do.

As many have said, you have to make the best with what you are faced with and need to try to put your situation in perspective. Each of us have circumstances or issues that don't allow us do to 100% what we want, when we want, how we want. There are countless reasons like health, money, fear, etc. that cause these things. At the same time, be aware of what you have and don't take what you have for granted, because there are lists of people who are starved for what you may be overlooking.
Can you fly carefree, no based on what you said, but can you fly some? Seems like the answer is yes, so take advantage of what you have, and maybe if you are worried about your previous experience, the anxiety will diminish over time.
My simple answer about your health is not everyone is a square peg that can fit into a round hole, so maybe you need to explore some options that will help, but find a way to get rid of the negative thoughts that nothing will help, because you will be right.
Much easier for some to decide to get up in the morning and say, I'm going to kick this day's arse than it is for others, but you need to find a way to get your attitude closer to that mentality than it is today.

I want you to sit back and pay attention to how ridiculous this sounds. You ready??
“I don’t want to live anymore because I have asthma.”
A friend of mine was just diagnosed with ALS.
Owlfan86 had a stroke and his dick may never work again.
Lebron James is hunted by police/white people everyday.
Your problems are minor compared to most.
Your first step should be to get a damn job. You’d have less time to feel sorry for yourself. Can’t travel when you’re broke anyway.

I agree. Which is why I wrote:
It is in God's hands. Give up your illusion of control. You have no control over your ultimate fate.
Emphasis ULTIMATE fate. The rest of my post is about HOW he immediately can begin to change his life favorably . But our ultimate fate is not in our hands. We do not control if we die of asthma tomorrow or if we get cancer next Wednesday. So we focus on TODAY and what we CAN control. That's the point.

Find a woman. She will be there to remind you daily of how much worse she has it than you.

You know, some people take cruises that don't go anywhere. They just enjoy fricking cruising. Maybe try that.
To me traveling is more about the cultural experiences than just getting blanked out drunk on some party boat. I don't mind cruising but it's not my favorite type of vacation by any means. And honestly a lot of them are trashy.

And I've never been one who could do one vacation a year. I like taking vacations every 3 - 4 months.
I never said big trips. Sometimes they would only be 2 night weekend trips. But I don't like going a long time without going anywhere.

quote:Please find a therapist and a doctor to treat you for depression. I’m telling you that your life matters, and no one wants you to harm yourself. I’m a few years older than you, and no way are your best days behind. You’re still quite young. I felt the same way as you, and God worked miracles in my life with the right doctors.
I can't travel over the long term I will kill myself, it'll just be a matter of time.
You can’t give up. You need to work on your attitude and trying to see the world from a positive place instead of the doom and gloom. If you get to a place of hurting yourself, please let us know so someone can help you. I’ve been in a place as dark as you and made it through. I’m praying for you, and I’m here to talk if you need someone. You really do matter, and I’m very sorry you’re in pain. Sending you hugs.

I think my asthma is in much better shape nowadays, especially through working out. Obviously my asthma acts up at times but nothing too serious.
Yes I think your problems are mental not physical. Your asthma isn't induced by exercise? (Possible troll)
Let me tell you what real fear is- I am scared to take a trans atlantic or transpacific flight because of asthma attacks. If I fly over land there is a chance they could land the plane and get me to a hospital. Over an ocean? Not a chance. So every flight for me is an asthma situation. If I have an attack on a short flight and my inhaler doesn't work then I am "the person" who had to have the flight diverted.
So you have hemmeroids that are cured with baby wipes and asthma that you can workout through??? For those reasons- I am out.

No doubt, that all sucks. The simple, proven answer is consistent, heartfelt prayer...followed by understanding the importance of proper nutrition & daily exercise. Be strong & make it happen. Cliche’ but true. Then, consider maybe your life isn’t all about you but you helping others...best feeling in the world.

What about "being" a nomad?
You know your scripts, sell all of your stuff and wander for awhile. Nothing wrong with a walkabout, if you truly are a loner. Also, nothing wrong with being a loner, some people are.

Sir, listen up.
Sounds to me like you simply haven't found your happiness yet. If you are patient you will.
Sounds to me like an eating lifestyle change could go a long way to helping you eliminate or control some of the problems you face with hemorrhoids and heart burn. Seriously consider a nutritionist, but in general just stop eating like shite. (that is, if you do. like no fast food, or "white" food in general like rice, noodles, and fried potatoes).
Not everyone's purpose is presented to them quickly or easily, sometimes you have to be patient. Live healthy, enjoy the outside air, find things you do enjoy doing and do them.
maybe charity, or volunteer at a boys and girls club
the only option to NOT consider, is giving up.
