If she wasn't your wife, then don't gripe.
Pull out for goodness sakes man!!
Now you have two? Enjoy a life of servitude!!
I do feel for the married man who is fricked over by the system when his ex just wants to up and part ways with our proof of adultery.
Pur system is fricked. Get use to it. I pointed out to the court the hypocrisy in Colorado when my ex wife just said, "I'm tired; I want a divorce".
I recorded her on tape. She was stupid enough to say it. She then wanted alimony and child support and tried to make me look like a violent person in court. All lies. A total filthy human slime ball.
The court saw through her lying crap and have her pennies not worth fighting for more. 100 a month. Told her I send it to her at end of year.
Men who are dumb enough to marry a woman 35 and younger without prenuptial or get a young gal pregnant has no reason to bitch and cry. You have warnings everywhere.

Call Greg Johnson in Baton Rouge. Great lawyer, reasonably priced and shoots straight. Makes sure you won’t get screwed

Like others have said, vasectomy. STAT.
Also, a judge will not give a rats arse how much you have given her (the ex) when she asks. It will have zero bearing on the case. He or she will use the formula that others have stated and that is what you will pay.
The BEST you can hope for is he or she (the Judge) doesn’t make it retroactive. That “might” be the only mitigating thing about showing him or her all the receipts of giving her money might have a slight impact on.
So, prepare to pay, and get a damned vasectomy.

make 3K a month, she makes like $1,200 a month. When I did the formula it shows me paying about $600 which isn’t terrible.
That $600 is after taxes, child support is not tax deductible. Plus the insurance and probably half of all medical bills. So, your tab is growing only making 3k/month.
Now, multiply it x 2 in May!! I’m so glad I have custody of my daughter!! Good luck, prayers sent.

You should expect to pay the court ordered child support until the child is 18 years old. Or go to jail.

Protect yourself? Child support is the law and it's even more iron clad than the laws that require you to pay IRS taxes on your income.
Very simple... if you father a child, the law says from the day it's born, a percentage of everything you earn belongs to that child for 18 years... no "ifs, ands, or buts". You not only DO OWE the child its support, paid in full to the domiciliary parent, from now on... you owe the child back-support from birth. Your "baby mama" is not being a bitch, this is not a choice for her, the law says your money belongs to the child, period... ..you are committing a crime that will not be overlooked for one second once the Family Court System becomes aware of your failure to pay.
There is only one quicker way to get yourself into an orange jump suit than to neglect to pay your child support... and that is to try to find a way to "protect yourself" from it. Let me know what happens when you try that out with the Family Court Judge...

Even with a lawyer, I don’t see an outcome where a court doesn’t make you pay child support.

You can expect smaller checks in the future. You can also expect to eventually realize you wasted money on attorney fees.
