I'm a teacher heading back in person tomorrow. Can't wait! Have a down vote.

As someone that shops for his own groceries, I can say that it is truly scary out here on the front line.

I’m not a nurse, that’s why I asked the OP

Schools will be closed within three weeks of opening. Probably Ascension Parish will be first. Social Media not Covid will be the cause.

I wear a mask unless I’m exercising outside.
I don’t change shoes in the car.
I’ve always washed my hands frequently.
I’m not particularly social so my normal is social distancing.
I’m hopeful this will pass eventually.
The problem is social media has created a sort of binary culture of either, “we must all live like a hobbit for 5 years”, or “we should not do anything.”
Somewhere in the reasonable middle is a rational way to manage risk.
If you are very old or sick, live like a hobbit.
If you are young and healthy, live your life with some modifications.

I don’t believe there is anyway to avoid exposure. You’ll be susceptible and show symptoms or be asymptomatic. It’s just a matter of time before everyone is exposed. That’s the only way this slows.

I’m a full time nurse in a large hospital.
This is cowardly.
Fast food workers and convenience store clerks face more of the public than teachers do.
This is propaganda.
