Occasionally there is talk about politics. She is tired of “the blacks” trying to “run everything.”

I've never met someone who was 80 that isn't somewhat racist by today's standards. Just grew up in a different time you can't really blame them for it

My mom is 71 and says shite that she doesn't think twice about as being racist and you can tell her all you want, but she just grew up in a different time. She will calls those yellow flows with the black tops on them ------ tits and don't care who is around.
If it rains hard, she will says it is raining ------ babies and not think twice.. I just shake my head and laugh on the inside.

That's not racist. Racism is a hatred based on skin color. But blacks have made themselves a political bloc, and can be targeted as such. And after seeing cities like Baton Rouge, Nola, Jackson, etc, she has a point
