Anyone want to throw down on a typing test. Was adjusted to a 68 wpm. Can probably hit adjusted 70's fairly easily if tried again.

I can hit over 100 pretty easily

Went inside and sat at a desk and tried to use a real keyboard. Was trying to hit over 120 adjusted, but couldn't get to it.

I used to get up over 100 consistently. Just tried it twice and can't quite crack 90wpm. I did 88 with 1 error, then something like 95 with 8 errors(clearly trying too hard to not be a failure)

I'm ashamed of myself.

Yeah but it took a lifetime of having no life and playing on the computer 24/7 to get here. I'm not sure I'm really the one who's won

She should invent a device that allows you to type on a comp with a phone like keyboard.

I watch my 18 yo son on his phone texting, and my jaw drops. If only these kids could train themselves to move that fast while doing actual work.

If she's 14 and about to be a freshmen in HS then she'll probably have to take a computer class where she'll learn how to type and they test speed.

One of my students was graduating, AA computer science.
He interviewed at a little engineering company for a programming job.
The HR guy felt he had no way to judge his competancy because although my guy was straight A's and dressed like a banker, he was very black. Mr black had put 120 wpm on his application. There was a place for your typing speed in the hr application form. Hr guy says if you can really do 120 on the typing test, i hire you on the spot to do programmer job.
Dude does his 120.
Comes back to school with job!
I "sing" the brass section from triumphal march from Aida on way to bus.
Amen.
Fun fact. aa dude had been his team typist. Blazing speed when they coded team projects. So he had kept up his speed in programming class. God is gracious!
