I used to listen to a talk show on the local Birmingham rock station a while back but they then moved (they've since come back to another station but that doens't matter). They were replaced by Walton and Johnson. Just out of habit I gave them a few listens and it was....shockingly bad. Like I can't comprehend how anyone between the age of 25-55 could ever stand it. We aligned politically which was ok, but it was so over the top unfunny.
You had dude impersonating a deep voiced black guy, as well as a gay as hell hairdresser. If your main schtick of your show is funny voices you're essentially just the ventriloquist act of the talk show world. I still can't wrap my head around how anyone would find them appealing.
Agree 100%. It was awful. I could not listen to that one guys voice. Like nails on a chalkboard. Terrible.
What show and station was this?

That Walton and Johnson show. It was on 103.1 the Vulcan in BHM until they changed formats and went to hip hop.
The show that was on that station before Walton and Johnson was I think the free beer and hot wings show or something like that.

okay, thanks. I used to listen to Matt Murphy in the morning before he left for Nashville. Not crazy about Richard Dixon.

Right now I flip between Dixon and Cole Cubelic and Greg McElroy on Jox. Dixon is ok sometimes, but he can be pretty corny. He is on the music scene around here so I have met him a few times. Good drummer.

I quit being lazy and looked it up. It's the Magic 96 Christmas music station.

Thank you Sam for taking one for the team. Lauren was quite the load back then.

Kenny posts here sometimes. Think his username is his name. Definitely doesn’t have the voice of John Walton, but even he would admit that.

For the BHM OTers... 107.7 the X, Beaner and Ken Show was GOAT. Then came the shock jock Lex and Terry from Jacksonville and moved to Dallas.

Condon or Scott Innes.
If I'm listening to either 98 or 103 and these voices start talking I immediately change the station. I know I cant be the only one and for the life of me I cant believe the producers don't hear it that way. and 98 needs an engineer to adjust their equalization. Their music sounds like an AM station, no low end bass to mids. Every other station sounds miles better sonically.
