That's terrible. If the father felt that way, leave the others out of it. It's enough damage that he did that to himself, but then the wife, and then the damage to those poor children? That's just unimaginable. Very sad.

How to permanently screw up your kids by killing their mother in front of them and then offing yourself, again in front of them.

Growing up in a fricked up area of a fricked up state was already bad enough. No one deserves that.
the worst part of the Woodlands is a far better sight than the nicest doublewide anywhere near memphis

Were these "well-to-do" folks? What was their background? Just awful for the kids that the parents just go nuts. Amazing how two people could go through marriage, have two kids, and at the end of the day still had no perspective on life it seems. At least there was something off about one of them (sounds like the father, but could have been both).

Young couple, drifting apart in intimacy following birth of children. Father stretched out financially trying to support family. Financial problems and lack of intimacy destroy marriage. Mother on Prozac and Xanax, father on alcohol.

Yeah, we're chasing gang bangers out of our neighborhood constantly in my section of the Woodlands. Its pretty much the biggest shithole in the Houston area.
My wife works for the township. Word is these people weren't even from the Woodlands. They were at a gas station exchanging the kids or something of that nature.

More details please because it's probably the nicest area of Houston. I'd like to know what makes it a shite hole.

I've known many people who have had to go through really nasty divorces with drawn out custody battles. In many cases the justice system is stacked in the woman's favor and it is unfair and unjust to a hard working father. Some people would rather die than have a judge determine that they can't see their kids, or that they're going to have to support and hand over half of his retirement and everything else to an ungrateful ex spouse who never earned a damn thing. It's a tough burden to bear because it's unfair and no judge should deny a father the right to at least 50% custody of his children when he is capable and wants to have them with him. The government understands that if they don't make the husband take care of the ex spouse, then the government is going to have to pay for her. It's a really fricked up situation because even when a father gets 50% custody they still have to pay ALOT of child support. It's not fair to the father. Some people can't handle it and snap. These children are victims of this screwed up thing we call a justice system.

It's not the "nicest area". They have some upscale areas for sure that I'd move to. But for the size and price range, I don't think it can be beat. Yes, it's probably not as "exclusive" as it once was now that it's expanded so much, but it's still nicer than any other area in it's price point BY FAR.

Two kids just witnesses both of their parents heads blown off within minutes of one another and will have to live with this the rest of their lives and you fricking morons are in here arguing about the real estate market. Welcome to the OT!

this is horrible. This one night has basically ruined these kids lives forever. I pray they find a way out of this, but i cant see any way a child stands a chance at a normal life after something like that. This A hole has destroyed their future, their innocence, and quality of life. Horrible

Not defending his actions because it's a cowardly and incredibly selfish thing to do especially in front of your own children, but I've seen some of the strongest people I know break down after they've been told they will have limited access to their kids and it will be at the ex spouses discretion. My parrain is still paying his trash bag of an ex spouse 12 years after they divorced. 12 years. He doesn't even know this woman anymore....but he has to send her a very sizeable check every month for life unless she remarries, and she will never remarry because of this. It's a fricked up world we live in. Some people can't handle it. Again, no excuse for something like this.
