pretty sure the girl killed was an LSU athlete
Since you put it out there, I will confirm. Track athlete who didn't travel with the team to SEC meet.

The deceased in the car is a female LSU student who just happened to be in the very wrong place at the wrong time.

You do realize that LSU students are involved in all four of those, right? Yes, I get that it's probably not LSU students stabbing people, but all of these were present in the 90s around campus, maybe to a lesser extent the lawless roads.

Motorcycle driver was a member of the caffeine and octane club?
And mother of the motorcycle driver was killed in a motorcycle accident last year?

My office is on Nicholson near campus, and I hear motorcycles flying through here even in the middle of the day. Just was sitting in the conference room when 3 of them flashed by revving up as they passed. They had backpacks on, but unsure if it's normally students.
Honestly, the college students and the trash that live surrounding campus collectively drive so badly that it almost keeps me working at home more often than driving in.
The young dudebro college students get annoyed with traffic and blow through red lights and weave through cars, slamming the gas when they finally break through it all. They're always in massive trucks too.
The trash living on Astor and surrounding streets just don't give a frick and very slowly ignore every stop sign and light.

Reminds me a lot of the Alex Collins, former Razorback running back, wreck.

not too far from where Mike Miley was killed

This is fricked. Someone young who had a bright future dies in an instant because some retard on a motorcycle is going 100+ in a 25 mph zone.

I just saw the 23 year old's name. A few google searches show his mom died less than a year ago in her own motorcycle accident.

if the bike was heading northbound and the car was turning left then the car was heading southbound, turning across the northbound lanes. So either the bike blew thru the red light or the car turned into oncoming traffic

The motorcycle was hauling arse. They never planned on slowing down and the car probably never saw it coming before deciding to turn.

There is a video, not sure how it was released so I will refrain from posting now. But seems like driver of the sedan was headed southbound on nicholson and turning left onto south quad and the driver of the motorcycle hit the passenger side at a very high rate of speed. The turning honda did not see the motorcycle heading northbound. Likely did not see due to the speed. Can't see all the stop lights in dashcam video but could have happened without a light being ran. For reference there were 2 cars in the westbound lanes of s quad who were stopped waiting to turn left onto nicholson to head south. One of those are is the third vehicle involved, sustaining shrapnel type damage to the fender

No doubt as I leave in a few minutes headed home from work , some fool in a charger or Camaro will fly up on my arse at 90 mph as I go up I-110. It’s like clockwork

This type of idiotic driving takes the Baton Rouge police to really crackdown on this irresponsible behavior. I was driving to BR last Saturday to go to the baseball game and 3 dumbasses driving about 70 mph (in 35 mph traffic) on I-10 cutting in front of me and other drivers one following another. Driving like this is very common in BR. It needs to be stopped , more lives of innocent drivers will be lost. RIP to the lives lost.

Yeah blows my mind we haven’t cracked down harder on reckless driving in the state. Harsher penalties are way past due
