I didn't see this posted already (I searched) so if it has been, my apologies.
Very, very cool video.

very cool video as they continued to film electrical utility explosions standing directly under electrical lines

When wind is involved, it will tend to whip the pole top conductors together. Phase to phase contact = big blue fireballs. The one behind the Exxon could have been from a problem within a substation. Either a breaker or switchgear.

I do remember that like it was yesterday. It was the first time I had ever actually taken shelter in my hallway due to severe weather. My son was born a week earlier and my wife, who still couldn't get around much after giving birth, crouched down in the hall while I held our infant newborn son. Power went out, the sound of the wind howling was super scary, and I remember watching from the hallway two trees in the backyard go horizontal. I thought for sure the house was going to collapse at any time but luckily we made it through with just a few shingles missing.

I was working in a big warehouse/shop about a mile away. Everyone's phones were blowing up like crazy. Shop foreman closed the big bay doors, told everyone to not worry about it, and to get back to work.
I got radarscope that afternoon
