That is what I was thinking. Would that just put your insurance as the payee instead of trying to find out who would be at wrong? More than likely the chief cause would be the one with minimum coverage and would not have enough coverage to cover one accident let alone multiple ones.
Jim Donelon got your back. Don’t worry.

ME... watching my insurance rates go up again

This is exactly what the government wants. Insurance rates so high you can’t pay it. Therefore have you have to ride a bike but you are saving the planet.

I was on I-12 east bound thru Hammond at daylight this morning and it was really bad. The issue was that the fog was very patchy. It would be almost complete normal visibility followed by large very dense areas for a stretch. This alone made it the worst I have encountered due to the variance in speed people were driving. Waze was a God send in forewarning about upcoming fog areas.
I know people on here are quick to jump to conclusions about shitty drivers, but if there was increased traffic and those conditions existed over the elevated stretch over Manchac, an accident would've been almost inevitable.

Always amazes me how close people follow while doing 65+ mph. Reaction time very low at that rate and above.
What pisses me off is I leave room, and idiots immediately jump into said room, thereby eliminating my buffer and forcing me to slow down to create another buffer. Rinse and repeat.

this make me irate. My car's cruise has the deal where it automatically leaves space. It never fricking fails how often it gets cut off by people that are in too big of a hurry for their own good.

And God forbid you try to leave a safety margin between yourself and the car in front of you without at least 2 people slipping in there.

I saw that picture of that Isuzu cab over truck.
If that driver is alive, wow!
I never liked cab over trucks due because pretty much nothing to stop you from becoming a pan cake.

is the fog suppose to be bad again tomorrow morning? Wife/daughter have to be at Children's for 8:30, hoping causeway isn't closed but she will leave early and go through Slidell if need be.

This weather is peak fog season. Plan on fog, unless a cold front is coming through, until about May.

I already made it and deleted the people, but I may never use it. Awful situation here

Yeah I'm aware thanks to fishing. Just didn't know if this "super fog" or whatever people were calling for was a one day deal or not

Yes. I believe there is already a fog alert for tomorrow morning from 3am - 10am. News has said that we should expect it for a few days this week.

Yep. Just go slower than the traffic and let all the idiot speed racers go crash themselves and hopefully miss you.

Actually there is a state that has no speed limits. I think it is Montana.
That used to be the case but i dont think it is anymore.. i dont think… but im too lazy to look it up on the google machine .

A friend of mine's theory to solve all traffic issues is to totally remove all guardrails and speed limits. I like his thought process.

This section really needs better ways to exit. Those emergency access points seem well used from satellite views.
Having multiple long elevated narrow highways over water with limited accessibility that can seem claustrophobic even before wrecks isn’t ideal. At least the causeway isn’t an Interstate. I am not sure how this part of I55 and I10 over the atchafalaya especially at Whisky Bay can still be so narrow.
