Mt. Everest's official height has increased by three feet

The Chinese and Nepalese governments have completed an exhaustive study of the mountain and have agreed upon an official height: 29,031.69 feet. That's three feet taller than the last official measurement done by the Indian government back in the 1950s.

It is still growing. India is moving north a little bit every year. So India is actually shrinking and the Himalayas are growing taller.

I find it fascinating to watch documentaries on the people who attempt those summits. The amount of money they spend to climb the mountain, the sheer amount of trash and all of the dead bodies scattered near the top of that mountain is crazy.

This is the OT. Probably a couple hundred have.
Next one that does it should just put a GPS thingy at the very top. Then they can have the official height whenever they want it.
