MSU Meteorology Grad took some Botany classes

A Kentucky meteorologist and her husband were arrested Tuesday afternoon after authorities discovered an indoor marijuana growth operation in their home.
Tori Shaw, 32, and her husband, Tyler Smoyer, 35, are charged with firearm enhanced cultivating of five or more marijuana plants, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Shaw is a meteorologist at WPSD Local 6 in Paducah, Kentucky.

I don't know about you guys, but I feel a whole lot safer.
I'm glad the authorities spent the tens of thousands of dollars excuting this operation just so they could confiscate property and, probably, sell drugs.

When certain crimes (usually drug crimes) are committed and a gun is present or involved, an enhancement is added onto the crime. Usually, it doubles the sentence.

This shite really needs to end. People's lives are still being ruined over a little weed? Plus, since they had hunting rifles in the house they will tack on a firearms charge as well.
