Children under the age of 2 shouldn’t be watching television
It is bc it’s true - there are exceptions to that - in your case it may be one. Just like exercise is good for everyone however, perhaps not the quadriplegic
Most parents don’t bother with the kid and put on the tv or hand them a device. That is the problem. If you’ve ever been in a classroom or worked with kids - you’d be able to tell the difference

But you just said what works for one kid doesn't necessarily work for others. Which is it?
Just the things you say are universally accepted?

I agree. But fckk, 2 of them when watching one at a time are a handful
You never have time to do shtt.

Most childhood research like this is bogus because of the ethics involved in experimenting on children. It’s all guessing and conducting studies after the fact, like asking parents of dumb kids if they watched tv when they were little. If the parents say yes they say voila, the tv made your kid dumb.

And most people automatically assume that because your TV is on a show, the kids are just parked in front of it the entire time watching. In our house, from the time after dinner, until the kids go to their rooms; our TV is on some sort of cartoon show. But, the reality is the kids are rarely in front of the TV (unless sick/hurt and need to lay down). They are running around (often literally) the house, playing with their toys, doing arts & crafts... They just like the specific background noise and will occasionally stop what they're doing and watch for ~5 minutes.

the bubble gum one is terrible and my son brings me the remote whenever it comes on
As for the kid TV debate, I was resolved not to let our son watch TV before 2 y/o, but we gave in incrementally at about 15 months. But he never watches TV alone or on a phone or an iPad, only sitting with one of us in the morning while we drink coffee, etc. Not sure if that makes a difference but I assume it negates some of the bad elements. Honestly the only thing he'll watch anyway is Ms. Rachel, a few minutes of Bluey or the first half hour of Coco.
