Damn that really sucks

I'd start working on meeting and befriending the higher up

It works in the corporate world if you're shrewd enough

They have a grand central station.

Didn't like the dry heat.

When I was there all the restaurants had a section or two closed at all times and had more job openings that I've ever seen.

On the very rare occasion I hear Midland Texas, I always quote my uncle, "Nothing good has ever came out of Midland, Texas".

Tumbleweed. Constant wind and blowing dust. It is the worst place on earth. You can't walk around without getting grit in your eyes, hair and teeth.

Not having sex. That's for damn sure.

Aside from waitresses and chicks who work the front desk, I'm not sure if I've seen any chick in her 20s here. You weren't kidding on not counting on getting laid. Even Tinder has been no help. Hell, I was in Dallas last weekend and got 20 likes, and I've only gotten one here so far.

I've spent a couple of 2 week work related trips out there and it was complete and utter misery

I'm sorry

I've lived in West TX, South TX, and I'm moving to East TX (Carthage) on Monday.

I enjoyed West TX muchhhh more than South TX. Midland actually has some white women and the bar scene is decent, I always did the majority of my partying in San Angelo though and there's a college with a lot of cute country girls. If you can live in San Angelo as opposed to Midland, I would do that.

There is one thing in Midland/Odessa and that's oil. You have a frickload of hands making good money and it's hard to find any single girls because every other swingin dick is exactly the same as you. There are also a lot of wealthy white families in Midland but they are veryyyyy secluded, you won't see them unless you hang out downtown.

Are you a pretty good fighter? How are you with handling your liquor? There are a lot of men in West TX and not many females so I can guarantee you that you'll get in at least one fight while you're there so if you go out make sure you have a decent sized group with you.

If you have any questions just holler, I know every square inch of that area.

What field you in? I'll take that job tomorrow and I have experience and reputation in West TX.

Get out of the city, park your truck on some lease around sunset and then check out the stars. That's some of the most beautiful sky I've ever seen.

The yard is in Carthage but a lot of the work has been more toward College Station and Madisonville so I don't think it's Haynesville or even gas. I'm gonna guess you'd probably consider it Eaglebine.

Moved out here in January, it's really not as bad as some make it out to be.

In my mid twenties and I get by alright. Fire up the Tinder, but you'll be surprised by the girls out here. Quite a few good looking ones.

What area are you living in, if you know?
