Moving to Baton Rouge in May. Looking to buy a home under $220,000. Any suggestions where to live??? I will be working in the area of the Mall of Louisiana. I was looking at numerous homes in St. Gabriel.

Maybe he is moving from someplace like Nigeria....then moving to BR would be seen as an improvement and a cause for celebration

Under $220,000, hmmm. Maybe Kenilworth or Magnolia woods. Didn't mention if you have family or not...Or that neighborhood behind St. George Church. Might actually find something in Oak HIlls.

You can find starter homes in Wesminster (Jefferson/drusilla) for that price. For 220k you may not find a renovated one, though. Great neighborhood

Look in Jefferson Terrace. There should be some options in your price range and it's close to the mall.
