How so?
The marriage rate is like 33% lower. The people who “used to” get divorced are shackin up & aren’t getting married.

Most studies show a higher divorce rate with cohabitation... the complete opposite of what you are stating.
"most" studies do not
its pretty evenly split

what would make a person despise living together, if you love this person?
To answer your question with another question: How do you really know you love someone until you REALLY get to know them - get to know what they're like in the morning, when they're in a bad mood, when they're sick, when they're stressed, etc.?
People are on their best behavior and most presentable when on dates. They're hair is done up really nice, wearing their best outfit, got their best jokes ready. That's not a true representation of who they are. If you don't do some harder research, you're making a misinformed decision. Maybe it works out, but you really learn a lot about someone when you live in close quarters with them. Personality differences can clash that wouldn't otherwise be apparent until the stresses of every day life drag them out.

Studies actually show living together before marriage have higher divorce rates than not living together.
Probably because things are different and both of you will act different after you are married but you will remember how nice things were before.

no, you want to wait until married to realize you guys cant share the same space?

If you are smart you will try to not move in after marriage.

People who are traditional and don't 'shack up' probably have more respect for marriage and are willing to fight for it. People who do live together might be more inclined to say 'frick it, it's just a piece of paper', divorce, and move on with their lives.

You DECIDE to love them. This is what makes marriages last.

Which means the people getting married are the ones who will have stronger marriages and won't get divorced. Meaning the divorce rate will go down.
Citing the divorce rate would be like talking about nba Ppg if they changed games to 60 minutes (or maybe the opposite)
The fact is people are moving in together and having bastard kids at an extremely concerning rate. This would happen less if we properly shamed co-habitation as a society. Not to mention it’s just plain trashy.
We can deny it all we want, but a biblical life is best for both the individual and society

Newer studies are starting to debunk that. One was posted when we did this thread last week.
Yeah after they adjust for things like religious upbringing.

Oh i sure as hell ain’t having a kid before marriage
The fiancés family wouldn’t pay for the wedding then
And I’d probably be shunned back to Columbia

100% must do so you know how the cohabitation is

Without knowing the dataset, that is likely a very easy way to skew the data to get an answer you like.
Right.
The most important thing in all of this is seemingly socioeconomic status.
The facts are that poor people cohabitate more, get divorced more often, and have children out of wedlock more often.
Low IQ people make poor decisions. This is nothing new.

We're talking about rates though. This analogy would work if we were trying to compare marriages per year or something else silly like that.

So how is it better if these trashy people get married and then divorce?

I don't agree with that. I think it just happens.
The part you decide is whether or not that love is great enough to deal with the tough parts of your marriage.
Finding the person that fits that criteria is what everybody wants. Well, except rocket and the other incels.

Most things can be boiled down to poor people being dumb and making bad decisions.

All of that data has been debunked numerous times, recently.
