Like a test drive
that's essentially marriage...you took that car home knowing you want to buy it...you're just scared to make the payments
you live together, share food, rent, bed, mail etc....
It's your life, so live it as you wish...but if and when you decide to get married, don't expect family and friends to be excited about it...the special time and bond celebrating your love for each other in marriage (New car smell) is already gone

I lived in sin for about 2 years before I got married. You got to test drive a car before you buy it. Been married for almost 29 years now.

If you realize you despise living with each other before marriage, probably a good idea to not go trough with it, but if it works good sign for the marriage.
what would make a person despise living together, if you love this person?
give an example...

Not really. It's pretty stupid actually

Yes, but just because it’s trashy doesn’t make it a bad idea.

?
Even if engaged prior to it?

I did it. Had to. She was 8 months pregnant and we had just purchased a brand new V6 Ford Mustang with AC and 6 disc changer.
Plus, we were evicted from my place for not paying rent on time, or something stupid.

there are conflicting studies on it
so whichever way one wants to believe, you can find a study that says it does or doesn't lead to more divorce
but its pretty clear that living together before marriage is increasing and divorce is decreasing

The former has no correlation with the ladder, but you can continue to spin this whichever way you want.

We moved across the country about 3 years before getting married. Call it trashy, but we weren't about to pay rent at two different apartments just to please Jesus.

of course
which is literally what I said in the previous 2 sentences above that one

You did the right thing. 10 hail Mary's and 20 our fathers along with a small donation should clean it up.

And that also freed up money for the purchase of.........
a NEW CAR!
