Moving Day in Livingston Parish, Louisiana

Moments ago on Louisiana 43 just outside of Springfield.
And the sad thing is, just 35 years ago I would have been "that guy" hanging onto the couch while standing on the tailgate of the pick up truck. Going 35 mph. On a country road. With hundreds of pounds of furniture directly in front of me.

See, he's not trying to keep the couch from falling out. He's holding onto the couch so he doesn't fall off. They ran out of space in the cab for him to sit, so this was the only option.

That white building in the pic isn't a house.... it used to be a store and i believe the name of the store was White's General Store or something.

I saw someone doing this exact same thing a few years back in Baton Rouge...frat boy stand in on the tailgate heading down Nicholson right in front of AM Mart...I actually pulled over and waited for them to get away so that I wouldn't have to watch him die....
