Anyone where mouthguards for teeth grinding at night? If so, which one do you have and how do you like it? Thanks.

Yes, just use an Oral B. Like $18.

I do when I drink. I grind my teeth really bad when I drink, not at all when I don’t. Takes a little bit getting used to but if you form it right it’s not that bad. I can’t remember what the brand is though.

They also have the kind that you wear one night then throw it out, like a daily contact.

My dentist said that mouth grinding while you sleep is caused by obesity because your body is trying to eat all the time

I have one, custom fit from my dentist. I can't sleep without it now. I've had it about 5 years and I've about ground it down to nothing. Will need a new one before long

I had one custom fit from dentist, it wore out a few years back. I use one now I get from WalMart for about $20. I do not know the brand, can get it later. It takes a week or so to get used to using them but after that you will get to the point you cannot sleep without it.

$22 for the Shock Doc Nano boil and fit at Dick's. Fits as well and last as long as the one my dentist made me for $295.

Get a custom set made by a dentist, preferably one that is a Prosthodontist. They are called splints and badly made ones, even if comfortable enough to sleep in, can set you up for TMJ problems later. My fiancée showed me how to make and adjust my own set at the lab...

My Dentist made my mouthguard and I LOVE it. I've had it for about 7 years and if I ever lost it, I would call right away to have another one made. It is only for the top row of teeth and works like a champ. Highly recommend getting a real one from the Dentist.

You are going to need a jaw repositioning device for this. Like the kind used for sleep apnea. It repositions your jaw and opens your airway.

A lot more dentists are making sleep apnea devices. They generally give you a device to wear while sleeping that monitors function and then have that analyzed by a sleep specialist. If you need a CPAP machine that is what is recommended. For the majority, a simple sleep apnea device is made by your dentist by taking impressions and then having a lab that fabricates the device for you. The dentist will deliver it to you and give you home use instructions.

I use a $19 mouthguard from Walmart. I think it's an Oral B.

yeah... there's a dentist on here actually who does a guard called the moses. we've talked about it and it seems to be pretty legit. You can search for snoring in my history and probably pull it up. I don't wanna put his name on blast, but maybe you can see if he's posted lately and contact him.
