Yes, where are you located. I know of several in S La. I had one made and insurance didn't pay crap saying it wasnt covered under dental plans and BCBS said they would only help cover CPAP,but I wasnt going there. It is pricey, but WORTH EVERY F*****ING PENNY. Haven't snored in years and its great.

I am a dentist....so a bit of perspective. Someone asked about a nightguard for a child. Most children grind their teeth at night for a totally different reason that adults. Adults...stress and/or a poor bite. Children...chronic sinusitis. Some people can and do get by just fine with a store-bought nightguard, and we encourage patients to try one if they can get used to it. Many cannot tolerate it, because they dont follow instructions to fit it and to get their bite properly done...or, they dont trim it enough and its just too bulky.
Also, i think i read someone asking about appliances for snoring. I have treated sleep medicine problems for over 20 years and i have sleep apnea myself. I have tried either personally, or prescribing to patients, over 20 different kinds of oral-snoring-apnea appliances. For myself, and my patients, there is only one that fits the bill...The Moses. period. I wear it myself, and its the only one i suggest.

The Moses is an oral appliance that is FDA approved for snoring AND sleep apnea. One out of 7 people who snore have apnea...everyone who has apnea snores. No, it is not known by ANY other name. go to www.themoses.com

I wear one for snoring that also helps with grinding. ZQuiet, so if you have both issues those work well.

I have a question I'm getting fitted by a dentist that was reccomended by my dentist on Monday. Seems like it's fairly expensive around 1500 after insurance. Is this a normal rate or should I look at other dentist in the area. The one today spoke about tmj a bunch.
Any advice on pricing
Thx

Da fuq? Is yours going to be made of gold?

Mine was $200+--all covered by dental insurance.

FWIW, I quit wearing mine after a week or two. It never fit right and seemed like it was causing me to grind MORE with having a foreign object in my mouth.

If it’s for grinding save money and get a football mouthpiece from Walmart, Walgreen’s, boil it, fit to your teeth and then cut the perimeter to fit better. I’ve used pricey ones from the dentist too, but I like these the best.

It's for sleep apnea not grinding of teeth. I seen multiple people saying their dentist fit them that's why I was wondering about cost, bc it seemed high

I do when I drink. I grind my teeth really bad when I drink, not at all when I don’t.

Janky is probably passed out right now after coming home to fix a repair something on his boat, a small portion of sous vide ribeye he finished on his egg, and 5-6 Absolute martinis. Hopefully he chokes on it sometime tonight in his sleep.

That’ll fix his stupid little teeth.
