Mountain Lion, cougar, Puma. theyre all basically the same animal.
TLDW: Pitbull saves two girls by attacking and killing Puma trying to attack them. This is not your average pitbull though. I believe he was a Presa Canario.

Well its happened at least once. It might be a 1/1000000 chance but if you check out the video i posted, youll see an offshoot of pitbull killed a puma. Theres alot of factors to consider. Maybe this failed attack on the kids was by a small and possibly hurt/sickly puma. i agree though, 99.9% of the time the dog will lose.

Depends on if it is a Michael Vick's Pitbull. A wild or fighting dog has a puncher's chance in sed fight. A pitbull can take down a mountain lion. Here is a video of a coyote whooping a mountain lion's arse. I bet if a massif or pit bull sunk its bite in the right spot, kitty is going down.

I've seen a large American Foxhound male kill a bobcat. The head of the bobcat is mounted and on a wall at my Dad's house.

He had the lion down but then the lion got the upperhand.
An adult coyote has no chance against an adult mountain lion. An adult mountain lion weighing 200lbs+ has about a 150lb advantage over the coyote
