The first sign it was fake was the son filming her and she doesn't acknowledge it at all, you know, like an actor on a movie set.

Wow this is terrible if true and I have zero doubt it is because this attitude is not uncommon in black women. It’s why they vote like 95% democrat
It’s also common in poor white women. Kentucky is nearly 90% white but we have the same problems with single white mothers who have multiple babies by multiple baby daddies. They then sign up for all the welfare programs they can. They don’t work and are all too often addicted to drugs, particularly heroin and fentanyl in Kentucky.

It's not.... I've discussed this a few times on this board but I used to be the only assessor for Ouachita parish disability determination.... it was soul crushing. If I had 10 appointments at least 9 would be leeches trying to scam me. For adults I would get people who dressed and drove themselves there and lived independently that were testing at the cognitive level of a 3 year old. I had teens who were on football teams testing at level where they shouldnt be able to figure out a t-shirt.
The tell tale sign was always a full waiting room for one appointment... momma, auntie all the brothers and sisters would be there...that was their moment... they had someone about to enter the family business which was getting a disability check.
Some of these were good bright kids that I promise you have no future now because of the family they were raised in. My breaking point was a woman who closed her daycare because the gov said it made too much money for her to qualify for disability. She had gainful employment and decided to be a leech instead.

One of the things about section 8 is that every zip code has to have a certain percentage of rentable housing dedicated to HUD. Apartments are typically at risk. So you could rent a nice apartment in a great area for $2500/mo and hud can come in and require them to rent out a percentage of their units to the "underserved community" for $45/mo. Then your shite gets broken into.
Ask me how I know.

I strongly agree. Section 8 housing is infested with unemployed single mothers who have never had a job. They are married to Uncle Sam and have babies by several men so that they can collect SNAP, child credits, and other welfare. I hope it all disappears.
I’m sure most of you have seen Idiocracy. It’s an extreme exaggeration obviously, but it really is whats happening over time now.

One thing for certain, they know how to beat the system.
I remember back in the 90s one of my great aunts, who was a retired nurse, did volunteer work at a medical clinic for the poor in Rockmart, GA. I remember she once told me how this single black woman, who already had like 5 kids, came in for a pregnancy test. When it turned out positive, she was excited because, and I quote, “my baby daddy need a new truck”.

We should create a leg up program and encourage people to work more. Instead of a benefit cliff, there should be an incentive to make more money and become self sufficient.
The key is that if you don’t work you don’t get anything. If you work some, you get a small amount, but if you earn more you get more. As you reach the max benefit, it gradually comes down.

This is very common. It’s sad how many people are this way.

I remember an episode of 20/20 at least 30, maybe closer to 40, years ago, where ABC sent one of their assistant producers to a welfare office to see what benefits she could get.
She had a fake name and backstory, but what struck me most was the other women applicants/recipients were telling her "Oh, tell them you need everything, honey".
Then, there was this government spokesman who said there was, at most, twenty percent fraud in the welfare system (as if that was acceptable), while someone who actually worked in the system said it was at least fifty percent.
