Depends on how you look at it I guess. I just bought a 2021 Highlander and a 2021 Tundra. Cost for both after trade in was $35K.

This. I’ve never cared for new vehicles but when my truck goes out down the road I may consider it since I’m in a much better financial position since the last purchase and run it into the ground.

$23,0000 for my last truck…that was 15 years ago. I’ve got a feeling the next one wii\ll be twice that much.

$27k. Only spent that much because I bought new instead of the expensive used stuff

Because of the depreciation hit you take the moment you drive off the lot. Vehicles are horrible investments, buy property and drive a salvage title vehicle.

With inflation, I'll probably go up to 30k next time I am in the market. There's a lot of nice gently used vehicles in that budget.

And yes I use my truck like it’s suppose to be used.

I don't look at vehicles as investments (at least from a traditional monetary sense). My most expensive vehicle is a fast convertible, which I wanted. It was investment in my happiness, but I have no pretense of it being a wise financial investment.

Anything with reasonable mileage, for sure. The more I shop, the more I appreciate my current rig.

$30,000. I can’t imagine spending over 35k. As long as it’s safe, has ac and heat, and looks decent that’s what matters.
