If you say something and there are two ways to interpret it, they are going to assume the worst.
Celltech "I like your haircut"
Sloot: "you didn't like my hair before"
dafuq???
I always pick up boudin and head cheese on Thursdays to eat with the GF. I didn't pick any up yesterday because I was rushed and she was quiet all evening because she thought something was wrong.
Never get a woman used to something that you don't want to keep on doing. If you get her flowers every week and skip a week she's gonna think you're cheating.

I’m probably proving your point right now, but I don’t feel like I do this. I’m super appreciative & have a low bar (to a fault. I *should* expect more). I also tend to convince myself people are generally thinking good things, so the haircut scenario never crosses my mind.

My GF is usually pretty good about knowing I meant something the good way. I'm a dude so I do say some stupid shite at times.

I can’t argue there. I tend to be pretty emotionally flat/even keeled, but I know I can’t always rein it in. I put off some serious conversations til the week after my period to be sure I won’t have a hormonal reaction & cry.
