Louisiana is a lot of things but quintessentially Southern is not one. The only 4 states in the conversation are SC, GA, AL, and MS. IMO Charleston and Savannah move SC and GA into the top two spots. I would argue SC is #1 but I think a fair argument could be made for both.

The only part of Louisiana that I might consider quintessentially Southern is northeast Louisiana from Monroe to the Mississippi River.
