my best friend was a sheriff in St Tammany, he was in a funeral procession for a fallen officer, when a tree fell on his car and killed him.

Guy I vaguely knew was walking along the train track, I was third in line waiting on the train. He had headphones on and as the train passed, the lady in front got out and had her hand over her mouth...I got out and looked down the tracks (He was about 150 yards away) and his body was laying on the side of the rail, with his head in the middle of the tracks. It was a terrible.

I don't know that anyone saw it, or if it was an accident or what, but damn it was awful. Went to the store down the road and called the police...they showed up and took charge, but a good while later I drove back over the tracks and the scene was the exact same except they had placed a white towel over the head.

Wow, can't believe someone bumped this. Just last Friday one of my brother's best friends from our childhood days was killed in a single car accident close to Attalla. Not sure how it happened he just swerved off the road at pretty high speed, flew a good ways and hit a tree. The car caught fire and he burned alive. People on the scene tried getting him out but could not. They said his screams were terrible for a few minutes and then finally stopped. They've cremated him and his funeral was just yesterday evening. Some of his ashes will be spread where his father is buried and the rest are going to be spread out on a motorcycle ride the next Sarurday we can get some passable weather.

Wifes bff found her boyfriend in the bathroom after he had hung himself. Girlfriend was in the next room sleeping while it happened. Not necessarily disturbing death but the way she found him was messed up.

I knew a guy who choked to death on a sunflower seed. Not the shell just the seed. It lodged in his throat and caused his teachea to swell.

He ran into a hallway and several people tried to do the heimlich but were unsuccessful.

My friend was driving down Old Hammond Highway in B.R. When a truck pulling an equipment trailer with lawn mowers approached. The trailer came loose and the front of the trailer cut off his head. Head landed in the back seat on the Mike the Tiger suit. He was the LSU mascot. RIP Brent

Took care of a guy who huffed Scotchgard in 2005. Scotchgarded his lungs. It didn't go well for him.

Was standing about 6 feet from a friend who was run over by a high naked guy in an suv with no headlights at night in 2002. Killed instantly.

Iraq 2011:

EOD routinely accomplished controlled detonations on the installation and would let those outside of the career field experience it first hand (they were called joy rides). Two armed service members went, 1 Air Force and 1 Army. They were performing two controlled detonations so they had a different set of procedures to follow.

The individuals in charge disregarded those procedures and guidelines and proceeded on as if everything was normal. The first detonation went off fine, but it triggered the second detonation charge prematurely. The force of the explosion sent shrapnel into the bunker where the two service members were watching. Shrapnel ripped through the Air Force guys chest and killed him on the spot. Army guy wound up losing an arm and leg because of blood loss.

Just a stupid senseless death that could have easily been avoided.

A friends older brother back in high school was shot and killed through the back door by his own father while trying to get in late at night on prom night. Dad thought he was already home and assumed he was a burglar. My friend got depressed and never forgave his dad for accidentally killing his older brother. He blew his own head off a couple of years later.

I can't imagine how their dad lives on after that.

My pop knows a guy who was going way too fast on a crotch rocket, went off the road, hit a fence I think, and was decapitated. They said it was so clean it looked like he got hit with a sword by Michonne.
