If your not involved in the drug trade your risk of violence goes way down.

These reports are all based on police reporting.
Many police departments falsify or don’t count crimes to make it appear less crime is happening for political reasons.
I’d take this with a grain of salt.

TF going on in Michigan
Economic segregation.
The poor are in certain areas, middle class in others, rich in others.
Detroit metropolitan area is the most prominent example. 8 mile is northern Detroit border. Cross 8 and it's white trash who'll rob but not kill you. 2 miles north at 10 mile it's less trashy.
And get nicer as go north.
All of Michigan is pretty much like that.
Saginaw, Flint, are dangerous and black AF. Surrounding areas safe AF. Detroit suburbs for example are some of nations safest.

Roe City representing that 318 dog. When you come to our town……just don’t start none, won’t be none. We catch you slipping though, your arse gettin shot. And I for one support this community initiative.

Didn’t realize Gasden was so bad. Granted I’ve only passed through a handful of times and it’s been about 10 years, but it seemed okay.
Grandparents lived in a pretty, old neighborhood in Gadsen. When many of their elderly neighbors began to pass away, the homes were bought up by a group that basically turned them into section 8 property. A drug seller moved into one and didn’t like the old white people having eyes on his operation. Fires began to be set, cars trashed or stolen, gunshots fired into houses at night. My grandparents were broken into multiple times and had their car stolen twice. My uncle moved them out to a home in the country. Now that house has basically rotted away and the neighborhood is a bad crime zone.
This is the legacy of Lyndon Johnson.

BR will move way up in the rankings once St. George passes. Take away a chunk of the population but little of the reported crime is in that area. Gotta pump those numbers baby!

Bessemer is a ghetto dump but no way is it the most dangerous in the state much less the country. there's a hidden angle here.
