I have driven through Alabama and Mississippi countless times and I have a very hard time believing there are seven states uglier than Mississippi and 19 uglier than Alabama.

I think Tennessee is the most beautiful in the Southeast and should be top 20 in the country

Agreed, Tennessee, at least the eastern part of the state, is very beautiful.

WA is rated higher than Oregon so the list is bullshite.

Washington has everything Oregon has, plus the San Juan Islands.

Not true.

No painted hills. Mountains in the east don't compare and the coast lines don't compare.

San Juan Islands is what makes it close.

Kentucky, Arkansas, Florida, and Texas.. over Tennessee?

Maybe I just value diversity a bit too much but the blue ridge/appalachian mountains are gorgeous

Too low IMO, yea they are one dimensional but they have the most beautiful beaches in the country. Like NM should be ahead of FL. That state had me suicidal almost the entire time i was driving through it.

Yeah, I think it's a good list. I like the top 10 and would have a hard time justifying moving states from where the article poised them.

So, because you drove through you've seen the entire state. Got it.

I've driven through, but I don't have an opinion on my limited experience.

Although I'll say the beaches should give it more of a bump.

I think Louisiana does pretty good

ETA: meh, everyone's perception of beauty is different. Bunch of mouth breathers in here.
