Correct. But once again, the morganza opening itself is of little effect for them.
That's not exactly true. The water from Morganza still ends up in the Atchafalaya, and the Atchafalaya is what causes much of their backwater flooding issues.

Correct. Opening the Morganza 100% affects the Stephensville area.

Morganza opening had pretty much zero effect in 2011

2011 was MUCH dryer. Very, very dry to be exact. Experts have said the ground’s ability to absorb some of that water helped then.
Also, Assumption and the surrounding areas weren’t already under water then. They are now. The opening will make things significantly worse down there.

It's not a 1 for 1 relationship since most of the water gets out before it is an issue for backwater flooding. I know what you're saying, and it's not a catastrophe for Stephensville on its own, but it will make things worse.

But shouldn’t the water levels have still risen? Stephensville is already under water in a lot of areas. My point, the actual rise in belle river and 4 mile bayou which is currently fricking stephensville isn’t going to significantly rise due to the morganza opening
You disagree? You think the morganza opening is going to cause those waterways to rise by feet?
I hope not or those people are fricked

I don’t think “feet” but I do think around a foot. A continuous flow of backwater flooding is going to bring a ton of additional water into those areas.

The Bayou Chene project can't get here fast enough for those folks.

My parents camp just got finished on belle river. My dad moved in 6 feet of dirt and also put it on 12 foot pilings. He feels pretty damn smart right now. But it sucks for the people actually from that area

When we're talking about this much water, millions of cubic feet per second, it's surprising to me that ground absorption really plays that much of a part in all this. I see it stated in several different articles so it must, but it's still surprising to me. I can see it making a difference early on, but once it's saturated, it's saturated. I don't understand how that makes a difference after a week or two.

In the midwest the water is backed up all the way to the tributaries of tributaries to the Mississippi. It's happening as far north as the Chicago metro area. Listening to their sports talk on radio.com and ads for disaster/ restorative "experts" are plentiful.
Not much can be done without the liberals accepting the consequences of the 2016 election and the clean Mueller Report. Until someone treats AOC and her 2 Arab scissoring partners like Chandra Levy we're going to be stuck with their bullshite rather than solving the f'ing problem with water and land management practices. Unfortunately none of it will happen and we'll be dangerously close to being a failed state in 18 months.

That water don’t have to go far to get into the intracoastal, wrap up around to Lake Palourde and frick Stephensville in the arse
When it happens, they better pray for a north wind
