2011 the flow maxed out there at 1.5 million cubic feet per second.
Max flow at VBurg during 2011 was around 2.3 million cfs, if I remember correctly.

My concern is that if Morganza sees more than 60' all bays will get topped.

Yearly max table
2.31 million according to this. I think you were looking at the max daily for 7-June, which was broken today.

Yes I did. Thanks for finding the factual info.

That also appears to be the record flow rate there at Vicksburg. I don't think anyone ever wants to see it at 3 million cfs.

The important thing is payments to Vidalia are about to double to $16MM a year from the hydro-electric plant.
Do you realize how nice the trim levels of the city vehicles is about to be????

Every body has already read them. The river is not going to change course. The Morganza and the ORCS would have to fail beyond repair.
I talked to some reliable sauces (2 engineers that work for the ACoE in Vicksburg) and my sauces confirm that the reports of the ORCS or the Morganza being damaged are not true.
Wow 8 downvotes for passing on information that the ORCS and Morganza are not going to fail. Are yall actually wanting one or both of them to fail?

Either that or they have the classic southern attitude that they would rather see something destroyed just to prove that they were right than admit that they were wrong.

What is amazing, is during the 1927 flood the flow rate was almost twice what we are seeing today. Can you imagine how much higher the river would be with 2.5 to 3 million CFS compared to the 1.6 today
So when it floods for real everything down there is totally fricked and there's nothing we can do about it.
Got it.
That's all you had to say.
