It's not the action, it's the reason for the action.

Those players aren't kneeling out of respect or subservience.

Rebels without a clue.

EXACTLY what I said in my post on P.1 and it got jumped all over. It would seem reasonable that if they wanted to protest they wouldn't want to pick a symbolic action that means the exact opposite. That would be like shaking hands and smiling with your sworn enemy to show that you despise him.

This is some serious butthurt right here.

You forgot July 4th. I fly a big flag on my boat on July 4th.

was at Middle School Football game yesterday. 2 young 13-15 year old girls were sitting when the national anthem started playing. A black lady slapped one on her shoulder and told them to both stand up, they did. I was impressed.

Nothing says freedom like state trained idiots using violence to force people to salute the state. Disgusting

Bonnabel's a shitty school but it's not the kind of place where you have to be worried about getting shot.

Because they refuse to because they're in such a fit of hypocritical rage over a peaceful demonstration. It's pathetic

Who's in a rage? People just think it's stupid to dishonor the national anthem in the way these athletes are doing it.

There's no message. They aren't changing anything. It's a ploy to gather attention. That culture has always been about "look at me and how strong and great I am". This is no different. It wreaks of insecurity.

CK makes millions of dollars to sit the bench playing a game he loves, yet turns right around and talks about how oppressed he is and how this country has never been good for people of color. It's all bullshite.

If these "protesters" want people to respect their "cause", then do something that actually affects change. This notion that kneeling during the anthem, hastagging on twitter, or posting these ridiculous memes on facebook is doing anything productive is not only laughable, it's divisive.

Hold up, need an answer to a question real quick:

Is "uncle tom," basically unisex now, like the word, "dude"? Or is double jeopardy: racist AND sexist to call a black lady an "uncle tom"?
