I've been 50/50 field/home through all this but I'd definitely go back to the office for an extra 30K. Of course I have no kids so that helps.

Yeah, I’m gonna need another survey before I believe this conclusion. That’s not exactly a majority of workers in the whole workforce.

Do you even sample size?

Why is this an article? A website no one over 30 years old has heard of publishes their results of a survey, and phrases the raise in dollars instead of percentage of salary.

So single dudes would rather rent in South Florida and “work from home” over going into the office in San Jose or NYC.

I’m in industrial sales. Permanent WFH and am on the road visiting customers about one week a month. I love it. My arse is in my seat working just as much as I’d be in an office.

The amount of time, money and resources you spend commuting to a job to do the exact same thing as you’d do at home is insanity to me. I’m very extroverted and do just fine with WFH. To each his own though.

Not me. Working home alone is depressing imo

I’ve been doing it going on 3 years now. I would prefer working out of an office with others. And I definitely get more shite done when working around others.

I think email volume has increased at least 30% after wfh, and all of the bullshite zoom/Microsoft team meetings kill me. Give me the office over home.

I’ve worked from home for 7 years and I would absolutely take a 1500/month raise to go into a office.

I’m very productive at home and make my company $100ks/year but when I’m free I stream stuff and play video games.

I think most of the people saying they would forego that raise prefer ease of life to productivity and nose to the grindstone type of life. Not knocking either viewpoint.

I have operated with a 0 inbox lifestyle for most of my career. I can knock email down into the teens or 20s and it will be filled up to 100+ in a given day and it drives me nuts. I’m on zoom at least 4 times a day.

Don’t call a meeting for what you could email and don’t email when you could call.

Yeah, about 80% of it. People have a tendency to dump random afternoon Columbo episodes on me, though.

Unique flowers think you need to survey 8 billion people.
