It shouldn't matter if police are present at a school for protection or policing of the student body. The reason for both is the same. Lack of parenting. Frick people who cannot and/or choose to not be 100% committed as a parent.

I wish people would quit playing victim for EVERYTHING! You're building in an excuse for kids to accept failure and blame someone else for it. That's unacceptable. You should tell the kids to shut the hell up and quit committing crimes, be respectful of others, keep your hands to yourself, pay attention and finish school. That goes for every kid regardless of color or race. You do this and you have a fair start at a good life. No guarantees but a fair start. That's all you should expect from anyone. School is temporary and life really begins after school. That goes for the parents of these kids too. The life you show them is the life they emulate. Having cops or armed security is a BENEFIT to your kids. Take advantage of it and embrace it!

He is probably exaggerating. It is more like 99.99998% chance

If he had said 100% would you call that further?

more vulnerable students getting funneled at an early age into the criminal justice system

So is this PC/code for gd bad arses?? How did we get to the point that kids who act a fool and are disciplined for it, are really disadvantaged because of their race? Race doesn't have a flippin' thing to do with it. If the parents do their damn job - then most of this is ironed out.

What do the Kangs Shaun King and Tariq Nahseed say about this?

Pretty sure all 3 of his followers are against it.

This author and her ilk need to spend a week in the public school systems. They will then understand why the 16% represent 31%. And it isn't "racism".

To be honest I thought inner city schools already had metal detected and cops on sight. So I whether wrong on my assumption or it's not as big a problem as liberal yahoo thinks it is.

Like another person said above, of you ain't doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.

Well how about just not committing the crimes that's causing them to get arrested. I know that's some out of the box thinking but its effective.
