For starters, I have been all over the world. I have been to where Jesus was supposedly born, baptized, arrested, crucified

Well, the first two reasons to doubt something are if it has never been witnessed or differs wildly from the norm.
If you tell me you caught a 10 lb. largemouth bass on Saturday, I am not going to think much of it. You may be lying, but there’s nothing that begs incredulity about a 10 lb. bass. Now you tell me you caught a 50 lb. largemouth bass (which is over double world record size) I am not going to take your word for it. I’m going to have to see that verified.
If you told me a ~50 lb. largemouth bass broke your line and swam away, well, I can’t prove that it isn’t true, but I think I would be a fool to believe it - as someone shouldn’t go through life looking to believe in outlandish claims. Doesn’t mean you will always be right but the more extreme the claim the greater evidence you should require.
In the case of God, Jesus, ghosts, alien visitors, Bigfoot, etc., everything under the Sun has its witnesses but none of these things are ever verified and until they are there’s not much reason to believe them.
With religion, it almost always boils down to culture. Here in the southeast, we sure do love Jesus. You go to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where I was a couple of months ago, you can see an arrow in your hotel room pointing to Mecca so you can pray in the right direction. You can go to a cave just outside of town and see a bunch of weird Hindu rituals and statues.
Religion is as cultural as food, clothing, and sports preferences. It has little to do with evidence.
With regards to the Bible and Christianity, people used to (and some still do) take it all literary. Young Earth, Noah’s Ark, and all that jazz. People just didn’t know better thousands of years ago. In the last couple hundred years, though, we have figured out that these things did not happen as described in the Bible.
Some modern Christians don’t have a problem with that but should. I believe without a literal Adam, Fall, and expulsion from the Garden of Eden that there is no justification for the horrors of the world - and (therefore) no need for Jesus.
If Man was born into a world of suffering and death - and we were - then either God or Nature is to blame for our struggles. Death was merely waiting for us. Grandma didn’t die from cancer because Man is sinful and brought death into the world. Grandma died because death is inevitable no matter how righteous or awesome she or anyone else is or ever has been.
People have been conjuring deities for thousands of years. One day people will laugh at ours and think it’s just as primitive as human sacrifices were in earlier cultures.
I could type all day about the absurdity of all the contradictory religions we have in the world, but that’s enough for now.

What do you remember from being 6 months old? 1 year old? If you have no memories of the early months/years of your life, does that mean there was nothingness during that time?
We were all dead once. You may or may not remember being very young, but you definitely don’t remember the billions of years before your conception.
But then again, some people believe in reincarnation. There’s no limit to the human imagination, is there? People have made up everything at some point. That’s why it’s important to be skeptical.

A friend of mine has been a hospital chaplain for many years. He has told me some wild stories over the years. One that comes to mind is an elderly gentlemen with advanced Alzheimers that had not even spoken in a couple of years sat up in bed and suddenly started discussing his coming death with his wife and son. He discussed their life together and talked about what they should do after he was gone. My friend was asked to come and talk to him and the family. The son told him his father had been cmpletely out of it for at least 3 years prior and they were just profoundly stunned. The elderly man was like this for most of the day and then that night he told them he loved them he would soon be leaving and shortly after closed his eyes and he was gone.

it's any positive, I had a great aunt die and on her death bed she said "I see angels, they're beautiful" despite being basically unconscious for the few days before.
My grandmother was in the hospital for awhile before she passed and at some point in her last few days, she told my mother that some man was standing in the corner looking angrily at her. I never could figure out what that meant. I always knew my grandmother to be one of the sweetest and most kind people I knew. Not just because she was my grandmother, but she was loved by very many people as well. I just hope that she was piercing the veil and just saw the spirit of someone else that passed away in that hospital.

My 7 year old daughter doesn't remember our old house. The one she lived in from the time she was born until we moved into this one about 2 years ago. I'm certain it exists though.

Many years ago my grandfather (a preacher all of his life) was called to the bedside of a man who lived a very violent and lawless life, who had no family . My Grandfather said just before the man died that he began screaming that he was burning in fire, and there was smell of fire in the room.
Damn.
Jesus did say that Hell is real.
He also said that Purgatory is real, also.

Don't know how long ago that was, but that fire hasn't stopped burning, not even for one second.

Was in the hospital room when my dad died. He had battled health issues for years. Last time he was admitted to the hospital, cardiologist told him his valves were all leaking and his heart just could not keep up anymore, he could have a month, he could have a day or two. He told my sister and mom he was done fighting and was ready to go. He held on until I got to the hospital, maybe six hours. As soon as I got there, he let go, and was gone in just a couple of minutes…….also happened to be my middle daughter’s seventeenth birthday, which kinda sucks.

One time I was in a hospital room with someone who knew they were dying. I knew that they knew because they suddenly went,"AHHHAHAAAHAHHAAHAaahhahhammmmmdfff!!!" and then keeled over.

I've witnessed multiple deaths. One thing it's taught me is there are no accidents. When your time is up, it's up.

When I was a sophomore in HS, I was putting on cleats for football practice and had a vision of an ambulance at my grandparent's home and thought that my GF had passed away. I shook it off, went to practice and then attended a youth group event that evening. When I returned home, my dad informed us that our GF had died of a heart attack that evening.
My grandpa lived with us, but had been in the hospital for a while with cancer. For years before he got sick, he used to eat on a tv tray in his room. One night I had a dream - Pawpaw was bringing me his tv tray and said, ‘I’m finished, hon.’ When the phone rang that morning my mom came in to tell my siblings and I that pawpaw died.

For 16 years, I have taken warfarin to lower my blood clotting factor for a carbon fiber heart valve they put in to replace a defective mitral valve in my heart. I am a horrible candidate for surgery because it takes a week sometimes to get my INR to the point they can do surgery.
10 years back, I had a sudden gall bladder attack and needed surgery for it. Because of my warfarin it took them a week to get my blood INR to the point where they could take me to surgery. By that time, the gall bladder had become gangrenous and then they had to fight the infection to keep me from dying from gangrene poisoning.
It took 17 more days before I left the hospital. Maybe 12 days in, I was in bed and my wife was seated across the room from me. I was a very sick puppy and they were pumping as much IV antibiotic as they could into me, trying to get the infection under control.
One afternoon I felt another presence in the room and glanced over the left side of the bed to find the worst, ugliest, smelliest creature one might imagine, smiling at me through rotting teeth. He reached out to touch me and I turned away. when I did, I saw a man just inside the door to my room. He was dressed all in white, no angel wings or anything like that, but it seemed like he was standing in a cloud of baby powder. The air around him was positively glowing with a pearlescent purity. As I watched him, he reached out and pointed a finger to where the gargoyle was only moments earlier. When I turned back toward the creature, he was gone. Then I turned back toward the door and the guy in white was also gone.
My wife says at that point, I began talking a hundred miles an hour, talking about what I had witnessed.
I am a well-educated man and not prone to making stuff up. I still believe, as sick as I was, the bad creature had come to take me away and the man in white stopped it. Sort of like my own personal guardian for a moment or two, which was evidently all that was needed at that moment.
I laugh when someone says there are angels among us. They have no idea how true their statement is. In my case, he had no wings. evidently didn't need them.

"He also said that Purgatory is real, also."
Martin Luther says specifically that neither the Bible or Jesus ever mentions purgatory.

I’m with you on this one. My grandmother was in the late stages of Alzheimer’s. Completely unrecognizable and unresponsive. We had a close relationship. I went to see her, held her hand, sang her something she used to sing to me, and said it’s ok to rest, paw paw is waiting for you. Wasn’t but a few seconds later she passed.
I’m convinced that at the end you’re entirely lucid, if for just a brief moment.
