Monthly vasectomy thread

Well boys, it’s finally that time. I’m 37 and have two kids and I will be getting neutered this week. What can I realistically expect? Obviously some soreness and maybe some swelling but how long can I expect to be laid up? How bad is the pain? Looking forward to finally taking full advantage of my built-in super soaker with no repercussions on all your moms soon.

Never do this. Just pull out each time. That way, your wife always knows you have the possibility to leave and start a new family with other women (not that you would, necessarily). Maintain some control over your relationship. Otherwise, she's got you by the balls, literally

Make sure they give you a decent prescription amount/dose for the pain.
Don't let them send you home with like 6 Norcos and prescription strength Ibuprofen. The addicts and watchdogs have made it incredibly stupid and difficult to get decent pain management after a procedure/surgery.
Demand 12-24 doses of a real pain med before you're stuck healing up with just OTC Nsaids.

If you follow the instructions with the frozen peas (English peas IMO) minimal swelling or soreness. Little if any pain.
If you don’t follow the instructions, they’ll turn into extremely painful softball size nuts. Had a guy who worked for my company get clipped and went back to work after.
I called him an idiot and told him to go home and ice down when I asked him why he couldn’t keep his hands off his crotch. He didn’t, in two days he was in the ER.
Now here’s the benefits. Most women’s drive is restricted by birth control pills. So after a few months of being off them, rest up, you’ll need your strength.
