My Instacart shopper keeps wanting to sub a small 12 ounce can of Kroger brand beef broth for the two 32 ounce cartons of Pacific low-sodium beef broth I put on my list. I need the larger amount for swedish meatballs and beef vegetable soup this week. Commie bastards.

A contractor wants to take me to lunch today, but my favorite restaurant is closed on Mondays, so now I have to eat good for free instead of really good for free. Ugh.

anyway, REI has delayed shipping on my heated ski gloves that I need for next week. Now I'll have to buy them at retail markup in Jackson Hole when I get there. Serious supply chain issues in roofing material for months now. Could be the manufacturers not releasing supply into the sales channel, but the choke points are real. Took me 2 weeks to get my hands on a single bundle of caps for a small DIY project completed in November. I talked to my buddy who is a custom builder and all his suppliers—small lumberyards—had every option on back order through the fall.

I bet more money on the Super Bowl than the 1996 Super Bowl. And I lost. Luckily, the quote to finish out my upstairs came in this morning $25,000 lower than i assumed. So, the low renovation quote will offset Chiefs debacle.
