I have to go to the bank. The lobby is still closed due to covid. The first lane of the drive thru is for commercial customers only, but they don't enforce it and there's always some nimrod there trying to cash a check. I refuse to wait in line so I'll circle the block a couple of times and try again later.

I keep the door shut to keep the dogs out while I'm working and it's right near the return I guess. It's also the smallest bedroom so maybe that's why.

This is a clear second world problem.
In the OT First world, you’d have a programmable thermostat which could run on the AC based on maintaining certain humidity levels rather than temp.
And can ramp up temp wise 12 hours before your weekend arrival to cycle the air through an odor eliminating high end AC filter.

What a royal pita. I pulled out the vodka of the freezer to make a martini and door closed. Rather than waiting I just left the bottle on the counter. When I went back for round two i realized I left it on the counter and had to make a tepid martini. Gave serious thought into dragging the thing down to the street

What makes it even worse is that my wife insists on just yanking on the door with all her might instead of waiting. If it didn't weight 50,000 lbs I'm sure it would rup out of the wall.

You think that is bad.
My electric toothbrush battery died this morning and I left my charging dock at my rental house in another city.
So now I had to use it like a regular toothbrush until my wife gets back from picking it up. (She was headed back down there for other business)
But that will be two days with manual brushing.

I washed and waxed my Mustang yesterday. I was going to drive it today. Then I looked at the weather forecast and had to put it back in the garage.
