I think if he's the starting center/snapper(like my son), it speaks to his football smarts and quickness off the ball. He may be undersized linemen like my son(aka slow clumsy small kid). There's a few possibilities there besides your general assumption, goober.

There's an assistant coach & wife combo at my kids' school that I could totally see doing something like this. She's a lying, conniving bitch. And he's a hot-head douche that's such an a-hole the school barred him from eating in the lunchroom because he cussed out a lunchroom lady and threw a tray at her due to the fact they didn't have the brand of ranch dressing he likes. Of course they love to talk about how they're Christians. But their actions, attitudes, and how they treat others tell a different story.

kid fricks up in game. mom is embarrassed. someone mentions reporter's tweets. mom reads them. mom tells dad after the game about the tweet. blows it all out of proportion. dad gets pissed and confronts reporter.
the parents project their anger from being embarrassed in front of their peers onto the reporter. hilarity ensues.
what if the angry parent in question is an armed ATF agent?

I was just joking brah, unrustle jimmies. I know it takes mad skill to deep snap.
It was more a joke that some kids without skill get a better chance in sports because of their parent being a coach.

Wasn't rustled, just more like one jimmy sticking to my leg kinda thing. I was making fun of my kid b/c he's a little fricker for his age.
Most times these big kids dads are built like coke cans(5'8 240lbs) I can just tell him "look at that big kid's daddy and look at your daddy. You gone be jussss fine. Just be patient and keep working hard."
but for now, he's a tiny but fit fricker(he's 75 lbs maybe with some kids twice his weight) on the 5-6th grade team.
