There are adults who voted for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Now, you tell me who believes in fairy tales.

My son played along for two years longer with the motto that them that don’t believe don’t receive.

Middle teenager was saying he wanted some led lights and I told him to write a letter to Santa and put it in the box.

He asked me if I was serious.

I told him Santa was.

A friend of mine just posted a picture of their Elf on the Shelf in his nightly pose for her son to discover tomorrow morning.

Her son is 10 yrs old and not, to my knowledge, in special ed. Shouldn't this elf shite end about 7 or 8? I'm pretty sure I was questioning the existence of Santa by 8 or 9. No way I would have bought into an elf every night for a month at age 10.

more than likely be the last year. My 4th grade 10 year old still beleives. he goes to private school and they go over all the shite in 5th grade.

now how did her post hurt you or affect you in anyway? answer is, it didnt, stop being a fricking douche.

Most kids fake it the last couple of years to get extra presents. They aren't dumb. Once santa stops you only get mom and dad gifts. (Though gifts get much bigger.)

I get what y'all are saying, but she moves the thing every night and has him doing something "cute". Tonight the elf will be inside a cut out cereal box stealing the kids cheerios. She asked for suggestions on her FB for things to do a few weeks ago. Seems like a lot of work for a kid who should know a stuffed elf isn't real.

It takes minimal effort to do elf on a shelf. Your kids are kids once, then it's over, and the reality of the bullshite of the outside world sets in. Let the kids be kids. Why does it bother you, that a mom wants to do something fun and special for her kids every night?

1) Why do you know their kid sleeps in his parents room?
2) If, in fact, he does. Then yes, the mom needs to set some boundaries, especially at 10.

Wife and I have fun with the elf. He was playing connect 4 with my daughter’s Barbie this am for example.

Let the people enjoy it and kids being kids. There are way more toxic things at Christmas time like serving egg nog. That shite is just gross

People like you are the reason the world is falling apart.

If the kids still believes how does this affect you? Why is this a problem? Why not let the kid be innocent as long as possible?

frick I hate people like you.

this is the funny thing....the ot screams parents need to be more involved and spend time with kids.....as soon as they do...the OT screams about helicopter moms

they do the same thing with kids playing sports, how much one drinks etc....bottomline is the OT is like Louisiana weather...dont like it...give it 5 min and it will change.
