Has this come out as BS yet? Because literally nothing about it adds up. No judge in TX would allow "chemical castration" of a minor child, regardless of their identification. No doctor would perform such a procedure. CPS would be heavily involved in this type of matter, and would also never allow it to happen. This reeks of BS.

You mean the 2 (out of probably hundreds) posted on the site steering you to a "conservative friendly" gofundme knockoff? color me skeptical

eta it's 4. still not even close to being the full suit. he complains about lack of funds. the gofundme is sitting at about $20k. that would fund a custody suit for a year or more (longer than 99% of them take). moreover, i suspect there are dozens of tx lawyers who would take this case on probono or reduced fee for publicity, unless it turned out to be bs. just more reasons why this all seems fake. this just isn't how child custody works.

There's the court certified document. I don't get how you think it's not real. It's signed by the judge, herself.

The judge hasn't signed anything yet except a TRO. He's wanting help financially to fight his ex wife. If he doesn't fight he loses custody therefore his wife wins. He lost his job due to the allegations and has to pay for a court appointed psychologist as well as attorney fees.

He's trying to win his case (which most likely he will, imo) however he has to pay for this somehow.

Well, you would be wrong. And yes, it is "natural" for any population to have mutations and deviations, but that doesn't make it "normal". Heterosexuality is the natural state of being for humans, period, end of story. That doesn't mean we should beat or kill gay people, but to deny the NATURAL STATE OF BEING is heterosexuality is the most delusional, anti-Science view one can take.

If we want to talk natural order, we can keep going.

The natural order for men isn't to get married and commit yourself to one person and only have sex with that one person either though. If you are so big on the natural order, we need to go all survival of the fittest and propagate our seed as much as possible while eliminating the competition.

Or we can just let adults decide for themselves what other adults they want to sleep with and share benefits with during their life.

Seriously? I was in a SIMPLE custody case and it took over a year. Also, we didn't go to court. My attorney easily said it could easily cost up to 20-30K.

i'm not saying this isn't playing out in a court in texas. i'm saying it isn't playing out the way it's being portrayed in the article or in the comments here. even if he couldn't pay for a lawyer, he could get free legal assistance (probably from a really good lawyer due to the nature of this thing). somehow he has the wherewithal to create and host a pretty nice website, but he can't get a lawyer? any lawyer would also tell him the website is a bad idea and won't help him out. again, it's bs.

And this is EXACTLY how child custody works. Mom files suit. Dad doesn't respond (Due to not getting an attorney due to fees). Mom gets custody. He doesn't lose his right to his children however he is no longer joint custodial parent meaning the PRIMARY custodial parent can make all the decisions regarding the children.

1. I didn't pay that, we mediated.
2. I did. I have many friends in the business. I did my research.
3. Have you ever had to contact an attorney for anything? Most retainers for a divorce custody battle are 10K.

He has an attorney (obviously because he responded to her petition). This case has been going on for YEARS. It's a long custody battle. Second, he doesn't need help for just paying for attorney fees. He's trying to pay for professional experts.

Have you ever been in mediation? A mediator is $150 an hour. That isn't even in court. Pay that for one day. Then pay your attorney.

And that's NOT going to court.

i can tell you for certain that going through a divorce does not make you a legal expert. i hope your divorcing friends aren't coming to you for their advice

Did I ever say I was a legal expert? No. But I sure know how court cases work and fees add up. I seem to know more than you.

With those people for parents, the kid's fricked in life anyway.

The mom's nuts and the dad obviously makes poor choices in life.

This part did make me laugh:
quote:

Moreover, the father has collected testimony from parents of his son's friends and a church leader who say they have only seen the six-year-old identify as a male.

The dad's friends and his Jesus-giver sided with him? No fricking way...

On page 40 here

the court orders that neither parent can discuss gender identification with the child to persuade him to take a gender, that was in August. So there is absolutely no way in hell any kind of medical transition is going to happen. The court also ordered a psychological evaluation of the child to see what's going on. Seems like a pretty reasonable decision based on the chaos both parents are putting him through. Really sucks to see another kid used as a pawn in a brutal divorce.

In reply to Reddy Tiger on page 2:

I knew I was different at 7 but didn’t know what it was or called. I came out after battling depression and alcoholism. Been sober for 17 months.

Yes, I’m transgender and started my transition during my last year in the Army before retiring.

I’ve been on this site for a long time.

A 16 year old deciding they are trans? Sure.

A 6 year old?
