She should have let the 14 year old carjack a family in New Orleans. No jail time.

Kid was fine. Kid could have crept out even with adult in the house. My fricking 13 year old went to friends house the other day without approval.

Neighbor is a bitch.

I was driving farm trucks, harvesting corn, cotton, and peanuts starting at age 12. Like my brothers did. And my dad did. And his dad. Some kids have to do grown up shiat.

She appears to have held up quite well for someone who has had 5 kids.

But in the meantime the friend's mom called the police, and about two weeks later, Henderson was arrested in front of her children, according to Reason Magazine.

If convicted, Henderson faces a maximum penalty of one year in prison and a fine of $1,000.

IOW, she was charged with a misdemeanor, won’t spend a day in jail, and has a bitch Karen neighbor

There are so many dumb or terrible people in this story. 1. The mom who called the cops instead of either minding her own business, contacting the older sibling who was babysitting, or contacting the mother. 2. The cop who arrested her justifying it with something so asinine like “he could have gotten bitten by a snake.” 3. The prosecutor who supported the cop’s asinine justification.

This is the problem with our system. One would think at least one person would use some common sense and say “this is not criminal behavior.” But nope, they all just support one another’s stupidity (mom foolishly calls cops, cop takes foolishness seriously and then doubles-down on the stupidity, prosecutor supports the cop’s stupidity).

Four kids, four dads. She should have kept her eye on them.
The right one specifically. The bigger one.

So what's the f'ing crime? I've been younger babysitting younger. If that's guilty then the state is our nanny.

Also wood.

the wife and i were talking about a local situation in the same vein as this one. It is a shame that the whiny pu$$ies in this world are given a voice. I told my wife last night that people like you described (the cop and the prosecutor) all should have been told to shut up and go away. treat them like the attention wanting little children they are.

and for the "friend"...if she were a friend, she would have known about the 5 kids being home, offered to help, and God forbid called the family before getting law enforcement involved.

i wonder who is watching the cops kids while he/she works? i hope that kid does not get bitten by a poisonous snake.
