I think Ford rebadged it as the Mercury Cougar for a few years with a new body style

You don’t see many Mazda RX-7s anymore, and very few of them have the original rotary engines

Probably rusted away like most of the 80's and 90's Japan cars.

I have one of these. It's a 2003 Mustang Centennial Edition Coupe marking Ford's 100th Anniversary. Only 717 were produced. Mine came in a 5 speed manual (only 359) and of those, it came with the factory installed Mach 1000 sound system (only 146). Most came with the Mach 460 system.

This one has a little over 14k miles.

How would that even be possible these days? For street use, there’s not a better driver car out there, and I’m including super cars. The thing drives like it’s on rails. 50/50 weight distribution, revs to 9k rpm, and you feel like you’re going faster than you really are so you won’t get into as much legal trouble.

It’s hard to explain to someone that’s never driven one, let alone driven one to the limit on curvy roads.

Edit: I’m eyeing my third one. Had to sell my second because I lived in NY. Will be about $40k for a good condition, relatively low mileage one without accidents and just 2 owners. Will probably be worth $80k in a decade. They only made 160k of these cars over 10 years worldwide with 60k (most salvaged or with frame damage because it can bite without the skill level) sent to the US, so I wouldn’t expect most people to know what I’m talking about.

Hell, I just want a car with a 6-speed, I don't care how great an automatic transmission is for efficiency. Going to be tough to replace my Focus ST after my son takes it when he graduates.

Is the same car as the Saturn Sky.

I saw a Sky today, but they are both rare.

My pick: Pontiac Fiero

Had one of these for a couple of years. For a 4 banger, the manual would get after it a good bit. Was a great car to have a system in, too.
