What I am saying is that now that the United States of America has become a super power we find it policing the world on the treatment of people, but on the journey to become a super power it took no issue with the mistreatment of people ie blacks and native americans.

At one point in American history, yes (cold war). But that was to limit the spread of communism, not necessarily preserve democracy. The US isn't very good at setting up democracies. Look at Persia (now Iran), Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba, South Vietnam, Taiwan.
All of those had or have express American support for their democracy and it either failed or is failing. It's not a very good reason to do something abroad.
Here's a fun fact- most of Europe were ruled by monarchs up until WW I. There was no European conquest over there to ensure democracy.

I'd agree with that. But I think you'll have trouble finding any nation that didn't do the same thing. Someone is always on the bottom of the totem pole. It pays to be a winner.
