Mississippi governor has decided to opt out of the extra $300 of unemployment pay due to COVID. There are help wanted signs everywhere but that shite will stop shortly!

I’m not for sure but I think they said it would end in September on the news tonight.

Tater has informed the Department of Employment Security to direct the Biden Administration that Mississippi will be opting out of the additional federal unemployment benefits as early as federal law allows – June 12, 2021.

Winning with Neanderthal math. I hope Tate says "hey Joe, Unga Bunga" in his next press conference.

Time to end it and put that money into a 4th stimulus that includes those of us doing what we should rather than incentivizing people to sit on their asses. My wife has been short staffed by 2 people because no one is willing to work...and those office positions are well north of $15/hr. So instead she comes home, fixes dinner, and gets back on her work laptop to work 3 more hours (after a 0530-1700 day.)

Agree - by now anyone who wants the vaccine has had ample opportunity to receive it.

People whose jobs weren't affected shouldn't have received a check.

But I think the point was that stimulus checks would be better than enhanced unemployment. That's a fixed amount so you aren't taking a pay cut by getting a job.

Louisiana will fall behind now, since Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida have all opted out.

shite even Joe Biden is talking about canceling it after the latest jobs report.

Thank you Tate Reeves. Now maybe won't have to wait in a 1/4 mile long line at Popeyes.

With most of the Southern states opting out of the extra unemployment money, any deadbeats and/or Libs who don't like it are encouraged to move to the Northeast and West Coast where they can continue to suck on the gubment tit.
