This is where I agree with SFP.

While his opinion may differ from many, he does not react before thinking through the problem. I feel like his answers are always balanced and well thought out though I may not agree 100%.

Also, I think sometimes people dont want to see anything from a different viewpoint.

Thats just me.

While it’s theoretically possible he posted something insightful in one of his hundreds of thousands of posts, the odds on that are greater than me winning the Powerball.

Christ man, this guy seems like a piece of shite worthy of public execution, but some of you should never be involved in the judicial process.

Everyone in this country gets due process. Everyone. As much as this board likes black and white thinking, you’d think this would be the easiest one to swallow.

I think due process should go out of the window when you're caught with the 2 missing children, one of them dead, in their dead mother's car. Save the taxpayers a lot of time and expense

Rope does the trick and sends the message probably better than other methods. The history behind it and there's just something macabre about watching a man squirm when he's hanging.

So who is going to wind up getting this case? It appears he committed crimes in 3 jurisdictions. Murdered the mother and kidnapped kids in Tang Parish. Sounds like he killed the 4-year-old in Jackson, so that would be prosecuted by the Hinds County DA. And since he crossed state lines with the girls, the feds could take it and prosecute as as a sex trafficking/trafficking case.

I would imagine Hinds County gets the 1st bite, since they already have him in custody and the murder of the 4-year-old would tug on more heartstrings and would be a slam dunk, high profile win for their DA. I'm sure Tang. Parish DA will want to eventually try it too or if he gets the death penalty in MS, maybe plead him out to life without parole to save the family a potential 2nd trial.

But that community is the one most affected and the one most pissed, so maybe they ask for him to be extradited so they have 1st shot. I don't know the protocol for all that business, though. I hope politics doesn't turn this into some sort of jurisdictional tug of war. And I may be naive, but I doubt it will. I'd prefer the state that has the more expedited death row appeals process get it 1st, but I don't know the difference between LA and MS when it comes to that.

I'm so sorry for the family and the surviving child. The articles say the grandparents were on their way to pick her up. How in the world do you handle this? I assume the maternal grandparents are the ones who will pick her up. They are grieving the brutal losses of a daughter and granddaughter in addition to now needing to care for a young child who is very likely traumatized. Where do you go? What do you do? How do you help the child and yourselves? Do you go immediately to a counselor for help and guidance? Does anyone help you decide the best steps to take in such an overwhelmingly tragic situation?

I hope someone drove the parents there. I don't think I could drive.

There will likely be 2 Death Penalty cases (LA and MS) and possibly a federal kidnapping case (unlikely, but possible).

Extreme counseling for a long period of time.

It's a completely fricked up scenario for everyone left alive.

SFP. Always the contrarian and the smartest guy in the room. I hope he's not married and especially didn't spawn any little ones

They will all need that. Is this something free offered to victims. I know it can be very expensive. What if they can't afford it?
