Jesus....I need to appreciate where I live a bit more.

It's common all over the country. Police departments encourage it. I live in a very nice area outside of Chattanooga with no crime and high home values and we still do this.

ETA:

You just meet in the parking lot. It's not any different than any other parking lot transaction except there are cops walking around everywhere

ETA2:

I'm not rich, just stating it's not a place you'd think to be worried about getting robbed from a Facebook transaction and we still go to police station and they still encourage it.

Good plan, my wife occassionally will sell things on there. I never let her go alone anywhere she sells things.

well, there are some transactions that I'd prefer to keep on the down low

Different story

I don't do drugs anymore, but I can't believe I wasn't robbed and/or murdered in my college days considering all the trap houses I ventured into.

A cop I know tells people that the only place they should meet for an online sale is right in front of a police station.

I wonder if they'd do background checks for gun sales.

I feel like it would be so hard to hide a murder in a situation like this. They have a trail of evidence on facebook (names/IP addresses) and with his cell phone tower pings.

They don't even notice what's going on. It happens a lot, they're used to random people exchanging goods in their parking lot. If you sold a gun, I bet not a single cop would notice unless you test fired that sucker right there

She confirms it's an SUV - she needs to update the model type for the vehicle.
