He's probably referring to the Guidry's Fountain development.

used to stop at the food mart across the street from that complex. Not a great neighborhood, but not one I'd expect to be murdered in. There's a pretty nice shopping center about a mile north.
Manhattan is a busy-ish street, and a handgun popping off in open air might not get noticed where there's lots of cars moving at 40 mph and likely a few roofing crews operating nearby. If he was by the dumpster, apartment complexes usually put windowless walls facing dumpsters.
A JPSO deputy was gunned down in broad daylight a few years back on Manhatthan.

Yeah, in my mind I kinda folded that all in with the target and all the restaurants.

There's a JPSO substation right behind the complex where this guy was murdered.
Some of those dumpsters are within view of the police station.

I buy/sell stuff all the time on FB. 95 percent of it kid's toys/items.
I screen. 99 percent of the time it's upper middle class people in my neighborhood.
Occasionally when I'm selling a tool or something, I get sketchy looking people from outside the hood. I don't even respond. Most of them imo flak out anyway.
I've had people ask me if I'll hold a $25 blower until they get paid.
Once you get used to it, you can easily with a quick glance of a profile decide who you will/won't trade with.
Craigslist on the other hand is the wild west.

Facebook does make it pretty easy to filter out the undesirables.

Facebook seems to be partially responsible for this murder. The victim and the assassin would never have met otherwise.

Exactly. You can just take a quick look at their profile and decide who you want to deal with.
Even if you decide to engage, you can still be screening.
I've ignored people I started messaging with once it became clear that they were absolute morons.

Maybe, but this happened in Harvey. Which is the West Bank, and Jefferson parish. So is just New Orleans a shithole or the whole metro area? Or maybe it’s all of south Louisiana since I keep hearing on here that BR is a shithole too.

^no need for this in this thread
Posted on 3/8/21 at 2:39 pm to noladan
Generally any area controlled by democrats so you can fit most of EBR in there too.

And what point are you trying to convey?

Jefferson Parish, especially the Westbank, is just as bad if not worse than certain areas of NOLA
Even Old Metairie where Big Lee was shot isnt safe these days

First sentence is true. Not so sure about the second. Old Metairie is probably one of the few places in NOLA that is relatively safe.
NOLA's problem is unlike most major cities, is that crime and criminals bleed into "safe" areas. No area is 100 percent safe, but I'm probably 15 miles at least from the nearest ghetto.
You can live in Audubon Place and be 5 minutes from crackheads.
