(CNN) — A North Carolina schoolteacher who disappeared last month while out for a walk in Mexico is dead, according to a post on the verified Facebook page of the Governor of Chihuahua. Patrick Braxton-Andrew, 34, from Davidson, disappeared October 28 after leaving his hotel in Urique. Gov. Javier Corral Jurado, writing in Spanish, said that Braxton-Andrew crossed paths with a drug dealer from the Sinaloa cartel and was killed in a "cowardly and brutal murder.

What do you think will happen when you try to buy drugs in Mexico

So he was out for a stroll in Mexico and just happened to cross paths with a drug dealer who decided to murder him?

The OT has a thread for every murder in NOLA or Mexico.

mmmhmmm. Wouldn't trust their word at all.
Sad story nonetheless. RIP Mr. Andrew

It is not unheard of for those cartel folks to murder people not even remotely involved in the drug trade or as buyers. Some real twisted stuff if you Google around enough.
The bus story and the casino mass attack were both pretty messed up.

Just like the masseuse in Denham who was out giving a massage at 1 am when she was killed.

The bus story
Just read the Wikipedia article on that. Pretty fricked up.

Guess the governor probably didn’t want to say he was robbed, probably fits the narrative better and makes people think that he was looking for drugs.

That's prime Sinaloa cartel turf. They have informants embedded in every aspect of life in those areas. They know when an outsider lands at the airport and can commit any crime they want, including murder, with absolutely no fear of repercussions. You dont have to be up to no good to get killed in that area.

That’s not the usual m.o. for Mexican drug dealers when dealing with gringos, to be blunt. It’s terrible for business

I didn't think there was any question with her, that bodily fluids were swapped. Didn't her boyfriend say what she was doing?

One simply doesn't go for a stroll in Mexico, unless you're traveling through it with 40000 of your closest friends.
