So if they have to do a DNA test does this mean that they can't recognize him from his wounds?

Could be due to 11 days of decomposition and who knows if wild animals got to the remains as well.

Only few remains were found. So may have been eaten by something.

Different patch of woods, there’s a lot of hunting land that goes from Burbank to the back of CCL behind Lexington estates

Several days exposed to the South Louisiana environment would cause drastic physical changes to the body, regardless of any physical trauma. Dead bodies that lay around a while aren't a pretty sight.

Makes me wonder why? What skeletons did he have? What demons? So sad to hear about this and how such a young kid could actually go through with it. He obviously planned it and was well thought out. I wonder if there were any signs that his family and friends should have picked up on.

Poor kid. Yeah getting all the alerts now too. They have to be professional and not make any blatant assertions on tv since they aren't officially 100% certain it's him but I think it's an unofficial assumption at this point.

It must have been bad to come upon.. 11 days in this climate.

I downvoted you because as the friend of someone who committed suicide 11 years ago, I had no idea he was going through so much and had so many demons. He kept it to himself. Lots of times people need to simply talk things out. We (rest of our group of close friends) were completely shocked at it. It came out of the blue.

Please, if anyone reading this has issues and has ever considered suicide, please talk to someone, anyone, or me. Suicide is not the answer and it leaves those who love you with a hole that can never be filled. It leaves them with guilt. It leaves them broken. Please just talk, those you think don't care actually do care deeply, much more than you may think. We all have our own ways of showing compassion and love and sometimes our way may not be direct, leading others to think we don't care but we do.

This is such a sad, sad situation. Many prayers to his family and friends. They will need them. And prayers for his soul.

I wasn’t trying to be insensitive. Sorry if my post came across that way.

There is still a stigma to mental illness that causes people to suffer in silence. And sometimes people get help and it still isnt enough. RIP to this young man. I hope his family finds peace.

That right there. That "should" is what I took issue with. It's easy to say those left behind should have picked up on something but lots of times the person with the problems is too ashamed to give any signals. It's a very, very sad thing for all involved. It's why those of us left behind, the "victims" if you will, of suicide feel so much guilt. It's because we, too, feel we should've picked up on things but reality is there never were clues in many of these situations. And we've beat ourselves up over it for years.

Thanks for the apology, appreciate it. I know you didn't mean to come across that way. Just felt like I had to say it though.

saw a bunch of oil equipment back there a

That was a huge oilfield during WW2. The crude was high quality, and they shipped it to New Jersey for refining.

Bad choice of words on my part. Didn’t mean it like that.
