no it doesn't, that's why I suggested that she might be in jail, they don't typically impound a car that quickly if it's abandoned, they put a sticker on it giving you time to move it, but if you're arrested, they pile on and have it impounded
I was kinda thinking that as well. Was the car in the middle of the street or something? Did she obviously hit something other than another vehicle? I guess she could've got stunned and wandered off but it seems a bit unusual.

This would be my worst nightmare if this were my daughter. Get a call from the police saying my daughter is missing and her car was found wrecked in an impound lot. Chances are this girl's family members post or lurk here. Have some decency.

Has a wreck, stunned, wanders off. Or somebody hits here deliberately and abducts her.

Shouldn’t they include more specifics on type of car and it’s color and more details on where car was found and maybe condition it was in when found?
Someone who might have seen the car but not the girl may have some important info to help with time frame without really knowing it.

How? If her car was found in an impound lot and the towing company says they found it near the bridge and it was damaged, that's a reasonable assumption to go on without any other details.
Near is way to general? was she on I-10 or on river road below the bridge?
Could she have gotten drink, wrecked out, and tried to abandon the vehicle?

Looks like the OT has another case to crack.

UPDATED article now states it was found ON the bridge
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - An LSU freshman was reported missing after she was last seen Tuesday, April 6, the university confirmed.
Police say Kori Gauthier’s vehicle was found on the Mississippi River Bridge where it appears it had been abandoned.
The family said on social media they are offering a reward to anyone who finds her.
Anyone with information related to her whereabouts should call LSU Police at (225) 578-3231 or Baton Rouge Police at (225) 389-2000.

That would be pretty tragic. Hopefully she is just holed up somewhere scared to tell her parents she got drunk and wrecked

Is LSU on Spring Break this week?
Back in my day SB seemed to be the week before Easter sometimes, LSU was getting cheap with the 4 day and Good Friday. I remember coming back and trying to find gas was a hassle a few exits in Mobile, shite was closed, I was like WTF

I wonder if it broke down / ran out of gas & she trusted someone who stopped to help

I checked the Sheriff's website. She's not locked up.

interesting possibility, for kids going to college to get smart, they can sure do some dumb things, and I am a living testament to four years of dumbass decisions

Hard for there not to be a witness any time of the day or night on that bridge.
